Last quarter, ThousandEyes established a new team to specialize in creating technical content. We already had a robust set of technical articles, but needed systems and strategies that would grow with a growing customer base, a growing docset, and a growing company.
The new Techdocs team assessed the existing documentation base and vetted possible new documentation platforms, looking towards building a system that would accommodate the fast pace of ThousandEyes feature releases and would help customers find solutions quickly.
We've been working hard these past weeks, building the new documentation platform and porting all the valuable technical content into it. Today, we're pleased to announce that the site is live: https://docs.thousandeyes.com
What's In It For You?
We see the new platform as an investment in quality and user experience. Some of its advantages for users are:
- A cleaner look
The new site offers a straightforward interface so you can focus on the information you need. - Better search
Search results on the new site are more accurate and focused, so you spend less time searching and more time finding. - Backend in Git
We’ve moved the content’s source files into a git repo. This means that the content you use will be more current, more accurate, and will go deeper into the way you use ThousandEyes. At the bottom of each article page, you can see when it was most recently updated. - Smooth transition
Finally, you don’t have to log in or have an account to see the docs, and you don’t have to change your notification settings. To check your settings or to sign up for notifications about releases and new content, log in to the ThousandEyes Customer Success Center at https://success.thousandeyes.com and go to the Profile tab.
Check out the new look at https://docs.thousandeyes.com, where the documentation was just updated this morning.
What’s Next?
Now that the new platform is in place, we’ll be adding new articles and making the structure even easier so you can make the most of ThousandEyes.
